Your customized learning platform has built-in notifications to help ensure all users are notified regarding booked, rescheduled, missed, and/or canceled sessions. This article explains how to manage email and text notifications.

Follow the step-by-step instructions outlined below or skip ahead to these sections:
Notifications serve to remind users of upcoming sessions or changes to scheduled sessions. All automated email notifications are shown on the Notifications page on the platform. Students that do not have an email address associated with their account can view their notifications and reminders on this page within their portal.
View and Manage Notifications
To view and manage notifications click on “Notifications” in the left-hand navigation bar which will take you to the “My Notifications” page.
On this page, you will see a list of all notifications related to your sessions.
Click on the notification “Subject” to view the details. Notifications are sent for session confirmations, 24-hour reminders, 1-hour reminders, 10-minute past session reminders, running late to session notices, rescheduled sessions, and canceled sessions.
The details include important information about changes for rescheduled sessions (see below).
Notifications are sent 24 hours and 1 hour before scheduled session times to make sure instructors and students attend and are on time.
Notifications for “10-minutes past session” will be sent to the student and/or instructor if they have not entered the Online Classroom within 10 minutes of the session start time. Links to log in or communicate that you will be late to the session are included in the notification details.
The notification will be marked as read after you’ve clicked on the Subject to view the details. There is also an option to mark all notifications read in the top right corner of the Notifications page.
Click the “Mark all as read” button. The notifications will then unbold, signaling that they’ve been “read” and no outstanding notifications will be showing in the left-hand navigation bar.
SMS notifications for sessions are sent to your mobile device. To receive text message session reminders, you will need to add a phone number to your account. To add or update your phone number, navigate to your user Profile page.
For Parents and Students
Text message session reminders are sent to Students and associated Parents 24 hours and 1 hour prior to a scheduled session. If the student has not joined the session 10 minutes after the scheduled start time, a final reminder is also sent.
Text message reminders are sent to Instructors 10 minutes after the scheduled sessions’ start time if the Instructor has not joined the session.
Managing SMS Notifications
If you do not wish to receive text message reminders, simply text the word “STOP” in reply to a text. This will stop the reminders from that point forward.
To re-enroll in text message reminders, text the word “START” to a previous reminder communication. If you cannot find a previous message, text the word “START” to the following number ((804) 207-3923.
