Get in the classroom right away using the instant session feature! Instructors can send students an instant session link to their email which allows them to join their instructor in the online classroom.

Prerequisites: Instructor’s account is set up and activated | Admin has granted instant sessions in their control settings
Read the step-by-step instructions outlined below:
How to start an instant session
From the Instructor Dashboard, click the instant session button.
On the next page, you'll see the instant session booking form. Choose an existing student from the drop-down menu OR click Invite a student by email to add a new student.
To invite a new student, you'll need their email address and their first and last name. Click Confirm to save and return to the form.
The new student's email and name will be added to the form. Complete the remaining fields and click Start Session to send the online classroom invitation directly to the student's inbox.
As the instructor, you will be taken directly to the online waiting room. While you are waiting for your student, you can check your microphone, camera, and speakers.
In the image below, notice the "Copy Classroom Link" button in the waiting room. If your student is not receiving the email with the link to join the classroom, send them this link directly.
After the session, we recommend that the admin double-check the student's email address for the correct spelling. The admin can update the email address if needed.
When your student arrives in their waiting room to test their technology, the blue Enter button will become active directly underneath your video feed.
How your students will join the instant session:
Returning students will receive an email if they have an email address tied to their account. Returning students will also see the "Join" button in their Student Dashboard when they've been invited to an instant session.
New students will receive an email asking them to join the session:
After clicking the Join Session Now link, they will be prompted to confirm their name, set a password for their account, and agree to the site's basic use terms.
When they click Continue they will be taken to the online waiting room and asked to share their device's microphone and camera. Once the mic and camera have been activated, they'll also be able to test the devices and connections in that space.
The blue Enter button will become active for the student once the instructor is in the online classroom.
For new students, after the session:
The student will receive an email welcoming them to the platform.
