Before Your First Session: Student Readiness Checklist

Don’t waste time troubleshooting during your first online session. Set yourself up for success by completing the Student Readiness Checklist outlined in this article.

Prerequisites: Instructor and/or Admins have added you as a user to the system 

Student Readiness Checklist

☑️ Have you activated your account

Note: You'll receive an email from your organization to get started. If the message is not at the top of your inbox, search your email for a communication from "support@placetoteach.com". If you cannot find the onboarding email, please check your spam folder.

 

Still don't see the email? Reach out to your program administrator to confirm your email address and have them resend this important communication.  

☑️ Have you checked your web browser? Network? Video? Audio?

☑️ Do you know how to join a session and enter the online classroom

☑️ Do you know how to navigate the online classroom?

☑️ Is your first session booked and on your calendar? 

Note: When your instructor books a session with you, it will appear as a booked session in your calendar.
