Before Your First Session: Instructor Readiness Checklist

Don’t waste time troubleshooting during your first online session. Set yourself up for success by completing the Instructor Readiness Checklist outlined in this article.

Prerequisites: Admin has added you as a user to the system 

Instructor Readiness Checklist

☑️ Have you activated your account

Note: You'll receive an email from your organization to get started. If the message is not at the top of your inbox, search your email for a communication from "support@placetoteach.com". If you cannot find the onboarding email, please check your spam folder.

Still don't see the email? Reach out to your program administrator to confirm your email address and have them resend this important communication. 

☑️ Have you checked your web browser? Network? Video? Audio?

☑️ Do you know how to join a session and enter the online classroom

☑️ Do you know how to navigate the online classroom? Want a more in-depth tutorial for instructors? Or want a playlist of how to teach videos using the platform?

☑️ Is your first session booked and on your calendar

Note: When your admin books your first session, the system assigns you as an instructor for that student. From that point on you can book future sessions!

Students may also request to book a session with you. You will receive a prompt to confirm your availability and complete the session booking.
